Karen Koehleris a trial lawyer dedicated to plaintiff injury and wrongful death cases. Most recently she was lead counsel in the four month trial of Dinh v. Ride the Ducks, et al., a case involving 40 plaintiffs. She is a member of the American Association for Justice (AAJ), a member of the AAJ Motor Vehicle Collision, Highway and Premises Liability Section, Spinal Cord Injury Litigation Group which she co-chaired, and is on the Executive Committee of the Traumatic Brain Injury Litigation Group. She is the co-author of the original Litigating Minor Injury Soft Tissue cases and Litigating Major Automobile Injury and Death Cases (AAJ Press/Thomson Reuters).
Ms. Koehler is the past President of the Washington Association for Justice and received its Trial Lawyer of the Year award in 2005. Her blog, “The Velvet Hammer” was listed in the top 100 American Bar Association (ABA) law blogs for many years. She taught seven years as an Adjunct Professor of trial advocacy at the University of Washington School of Law and speaks regularly for AAJ and TLAs around the country.
